INGREDIENTS
10 ounces dark chocolate, chopped (see Ingredient Insider)
Zest of 1/2 orange
1/2 ounce freeze-dried fruit
3 tablespoons pepitas (shelled pumpkin seeds)
3 tablespoons sliced almonds
DIRECTIONS
Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
Place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted.
Pour the melted chocolate onto the parchment paper and spread until 1⁄4-inch thick.
Top the chocolate with the orange zest, freeze-dried fruit, pumpkin seeds, and almonds while still warm. For best results, use a clean spatula to lightly press the toppings down into the bark.
Let cool on counter at least 2 hours before breaking or cutting into 12 pieces to serve.
Mona’s Tips: Freeze-dried fruit can usually be found in the produce section. Look for brands (such as Crunchies brand) that have no added sugar. I like to use mixed fruit, but they also sell strawberries on their own.
Ingredient Insider: Any dark chocolate can be used to make this, but I prefer dark chocolate chopped from bars (60-80% cacao) or Ghirardelli dark chocolate melting wafers.
